A ‘just transition’ for who?
You might have heard about a ‘just transition’ away from oil and gas to renewables, but what does this really look like? What does it mean for offshore workers?
There are two ways the energy transition can happen. Either you and other workers guide policies with your skills and experience, or it’s left to the market with no protection for affected communities. We’ve seen what option two did to mining communities. We can’t go down that road again.
